I am reaching out to share an exciting summer opportunity for families in your school community. The Salvation Army is now accepting registrations for Adventure Camp, taking place July 13–17, 2026, at Scotian Glen Camp.
Since opening in 1953, Scotian Glen Camp has welcomed generations of children and youth for meaningful summer camp experiences. Adventure Camp is designed for HRM residents in Grades 1–6 and gives campers the chance to enjoy a full week of fun, friendship, and personal growth in a safe and supportive environment.
Throughout the week, campers will take part in a variety of activities such as outdoor games, crafts, swimming, campfires, team-building activities, and other classic camp experiences. Camp is a great opportunity for children to build confidence, try new things, make friends, and create lasting memories.
Scotian Glen Camp is a Christian camp operated by The Salvation Army. As part of the camp experience, campers will participate in age-appropriate Christian teaching, songs, and chapel-style programming. Our goal is to create a welcoming and respectful environment where every child feels valued, encouraged, and cared for.
Thanks to subsidies, the registration fee for Adventure Camp is only $25 per child, making this opportunity more accessible for families. Space is limited, and registration will close on June 22 or once all spaces are filled.
Families can pick up an application at one of the listed Salvation Army locations or contact:
