Kwe'
My name is Kayla Bernard, I am a Mi'kmaw Recreation Therapist in Kjipuktuk and the founder of HeART Mental Wellness Youth Programs.
We are excited to share our community program offerings. This year we are offering four different programs for youth ages 8+, all of our programming for the upcoming year is cost using a pay what you can module. Where families can contribute any or no amount for their youths to participate.
We would deeply appreciate it if you could please share the information about our programs with your school community! Schools and our collaboration with Schools Plus have both been our biggest supports and connectors with families.
HeART Program: Art and Mindfulness Program
Each week youth will get to be creative and explore different art styles, in a supportive peer environment, paired with a mindfulness or other coping skill to support their mental wellness.
Costs for the upcoming year is pay what you can! --> We accept donations of all sizes, and welcome youth if that amount is also zero dollars.
